Shambhala Level II: Birth of the Warrior: September 16-18, 2011

The weekend of September 16-18 gave us beautiful autumn weather with comfortable temperatures and a sun-filled, brilliant blue sky. It was a perfect weekend for Shambhala Level II: Birth of the Warrior class held at Healing Waters in East Aurora.

Approximately 25 people were in attendance, including members of the East Aurora Shambhala group, members of the Buffalo Shambhala group and a few new faces. The class was led by Madeline Conacher and Louie Allen from the Toronto Shambhala Center.

We learned to cultivate a willingness to recognize our habitual fears, observe our cocoon and break free into the fearlessness of the warrior. We learned that it is possible to live the sane, dignified and confident lives.

The East Aurora Shambhala Meditation Group hosted the class.
We'd like to extend our appreciation for all the hard work to:
Marcia Berkowitz and Jean Gunner for a wonderful job coordinating the event.
Inside the Yurt
To the staff: Stacy, Debra, Wendy and Barb for all their help. And, of course, Felicitas for making things happen.
And to Joe, for delivering the food on Saturday.

A special word of thanks goes to the teacher, Madeline Conacher and the mediation instructors: Louie Allen and Trudy Stern. They did a wonderful job and were instrumental in making this a successful and enjoyable class.
